2026 World Cup - Canada: Jesse Marsch sees Morocco as a giant
First to qualify for the round of 16 at this 2026 World Cup, Canada will face either Morocco or the Netherlands.
The Canucks' head coach, Jesse Marsch, will even be at the stadium on Monday night into Tuesday to witness the clash between these "two giants".
"My goal in this competition, beyond inspiring our nation, was to have a great run, to lead a memorable campaign, and to have the chance to face the giants of world football. And I believe that, considering what Morocco has achieved in recent years, they are a modern giant. As for the Netherlands national team's success, which seems to have lasted for centuries, they are a traditional giant. We’ve reached this stage of the tournament, it’s an opportunity to seize, and we’re going to give everything we have to try to claim victory," said the American coach at the press conference.
