Qatar and Switzerland go head-to-head in Group B of the 2026 World Cup. Two contrasting styles, but a shared objective: to kick off the tournament on the right foot.

The Qataris, hosts of the previous edition, are dreaming of making it past the group stage for the first time in their history, in what is only their second appearance at the finals.

On the other side, Switzerland must absolutely secure victory against what is, on paper, the weakest opponent in their group. The Nati will then face Bosnia and Herzegovina and hosts Canada in the following matches.

Date and kick-off time

The match between Qatar and Switzerland will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. GMT at San Francisco Bay Area Stadium, California.
