Qatar and Switzerland shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw in the opening matchday of Group B at the World Cup.

Breel Embolo broke the deadlock in the 17th minute from the penalty spot, before Boualem Khoukhi leveled the score in the 90+5th minute.

In the other Group B encounter, Bosnia and Herzegovina were held to a 1-1 draw by Canada. The Zmajevi took the lead through Jovo Lukic, but Cyle Larin netted the equalizer for the Canucks.

With the second round of group fixtures on the horizon, all four teams share top spot in Group B.
