2026 World Cup: Ismael Saibari's goal with Morocco

While Morocco stunned the world in 2022 by reaching the semi-finals of the World Cup in Qatar, Ismael Saibari is aiming even higher this summer.

After a heartbreaking loss in the final of the last AFCON 2025, Morocco's Atlas Lions are determined to make their mark this summer in the United States at the 2026 World Cup. Ismael Saibari wants to go even further than four years ago.

"The goal is to go as far as possible. So the final, or even winning the World Cup. But we're taking it one match at a time, we're not rushing. We'll see where it takes us," said the PSV Eindhoven player in the mixed zone on Tuesday, after Morocco's emphatic 4-0 victory over Madagascar.
