With their 3-1 victory over New Zealand, Egypt has secured its first-ever win at a World Cup in their fourth appearance. Mohamed Salah is aiming high.

The Pharaohs' captain is determined to make history at this 2026 World Cup with his country. "We can make history by finishing top of the group and, in the years to come, you’ll remember this as one of our greatest achievements. We just have to enjoy today, enjoy tomorrow, then focus on the next match," Salah declared.

Now leading Group G with 4 points, Egypt will play their final group match against Iran (2 points) next Saturday, while Belgium (2 points) and New Zealand (1 point) will also be fighting for their place in this World Cup.
