2027 AFCON qualifying: DR Congo begin camp in Kinshasa

The Leopards began their preparations on Sunday, September 20, in Kinshasa ahead of the first two rounds of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers

The headquarters have been established in the Gombe commune, where eight internationals have already settled in, according to a video document from FECOFA.

A core already in place

Théo Bongonda, Fiston Mayele, Nathan Ndimbu, Chancel Mbemba, Mathieu Epolo, Steve Kapuadi, Edo Kayembe and Afimico Pululu have already arrived. The entire squad called up by Sebastien Desabre is expected on Monday, September 21, for an accelerated phase of preparations.

Two fixtures in quick succession

For this international window dedicated to the start of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, DR Congo will host Equatorial Guinea in Kinshasa on Thursday, September 24, before travelling to Harare to face Zimbabwe on Monday, September 28, in the second round
