Conference League: Mohamed Salah aims to extend his scoring streak
Mohamed Salah will be one of Trabzonspor’s main attacking threats against Freiburg. Having scored in each of his first two Conference League appearances, against KuPS and Hearts, the Egyptian striker hopes to extend his run and score in each of his first three matches in the competition for the Turkish club.
Impressive efficiency in recent weeks
Mohamed Salah is going through a particularly productive spell. In his last 12 competitive matches, he has scored 10 goals and provided 5 assists. The striker has been especially effective in front of his home fans. Eight of his last ten goals have come at home, a statistic that underlines his importance to Trabzonspor’s attacking performances.
Regarded as one of the team’s main attacking weapons, Salah is expected to start once again. His role could be even more important because Dju and Aral are unavailable. Trabzonspor’s coaching staff will therefore be counting on his finishing and experience to trouble the German defence.
Against Freiburg, the Egyptian will have the chance to extend his European run. Another goal would mean he had scored in each of his first three appearances in the Conference League for Trabzonspor.
