According to reports emerging from North Africa and circles close to Galatasaray, the Turkish giants have renewed their interest in the Moroccan star and Stuttgart midfielder, Bilal El Khannouss. During the recent UEFA Champions League encounters between the two sides—which ended in a 2-0 victory for the Turkish club—Galatasaray officials took the opportunity to reach out to the player once again.

Although Galatasaray continues to make every possible effort to secure the services of the Moroccan player, it appears that he still wishes to remain at Stuttgart for as long as possible.

Bilal El Khannouss wants to settle in Stuttgart

The Moroccan player went on to stress how much stability matters in a footballer's career, arguing that continuity and faith in a sporting project are essential if a player is to keep improving and eventually reach his goals.

That stance fits with the decision he had already made the previous summer, when he turned down several approaches — among them one from Al Ittihad. The Saudi club had put 40 million euros on the table for Stuttgart to sign the Moroccan international, and had also offered him a salary three times what he was earning at the time.

Galatasaray’s interest, but a notable standout performance by Bilal El Khannouss in the Bundesliga

Since making the move to Stuttgart after his spell at Leicester City, El Khannouss has kept developing in the Bundesliga and has gradually carved out a place for himself in the German squad. This season the Moroccan attacking midfielder has featured in eight league games, scoring twice, with four Champions League appearances and two more in the German Cup on top of that.

His display against Bayer Leverkusen last weekend underlined just how much he has grown. Starting in Stuttgart's 4-2 win, he found the net and helped his side to the victory, before facing Galatasaray a few days later on the European stage.
