As the next international fixtures draw near, the head coach of Algeria’s national team continues to explore fresh options to intensify competition within his squad. In this position, Riyad Mahrez remains the undisputed leader, while Anis Hadj Moussa and Ilan Kebbal are battling it out as first-choice alternatives. The inclusion of Farès Ghedjemis in the extended preliminary squad, however, shakes things up. Even if his spot in the final list is still uncertain, the player could be an extra option in case of absences or squad rotation during the training camp in Italy.

At 23, the Paris-trained winger is enjoying the best season of his young career so far with Frosinone in Serie B. Having netted 10 goals and provided 3 assists in 29 matches, the forward is steadily attracting attention, and his call-up to the Fennecs’ extended squad stands as recognition for his recent performances and development over the past months.
