CRB – MCA: the derby will be played behind closed doors! (Official)
The disciplinary commission of the Professional Football League has delivered its verdict following the incidents that occurred during the Algerian Cup quarter-final between CR Belouizdad and MC Alger, held at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Baraki. This match, won by Chabab after extra time (3-2), was marred by several disturbances in the stands.

CR Belouizdad has been sanctioned for the use and throwing of pyrotechnic devices and projectiles onto the pitch before and during the match. The Algiers-based club receives a warning along with a fine of 600,000 dinars, as well as two matches behind closed doors, after these incidents resulted in injuries to some opposing players.
On the sporting side, these sanctions will have a direct impact on the upcoming derby between the two teams. CRB will therefore host MCA behind closed doors for the rescheduled match of the 16th round of Ligue 1 Mobilis. In addition, Belouizdad captain Abderraouf Benguit has been suspended for two matches, one of which is suspended, and must also pay a fine of 100,000 dinars.
