Bayern: Michael Olise favours this club in the event of a departure
Michael Olise would favour Real Madrid if he were to leave Bayern Munich. Highly sought after following his performances in Germany, the French winger remains at the centre of transfer-market discussions. The Bavarian club nevertheless wants to extend his contract in order to keep him in the long term.
Real Madrid top Olise’s list of preferences
According to Christian Falk, head of the football section at German daily Bild, Michael Olise would be particularly attracted by the Madrid project. “It is Real Madrid that excites him, and Real Madrid are also interested in him,” the journalist explained on CF Bayern Insider. A potential return to the Premier League has not been ruled out, however. Liverpool are also monitoring the player’s situation, while Manchester City could enter the race if the English club were to make a sufficiently attractive offer.
Having joined Bayern in the summer of 2024 from Crystal Palace, Olise quickly established himself as a key part of the Munich attack. His performances have increased interest from Europe’s top clubs.
Bayern want to secure his future
Bayern Munich have no intention of making a potential departure easy. Olise’s current contract runs until 2029 and contains no release clause. The Bavarian club nevertheless wants to extend his deal and improve his salary package.
According to reports in the German press, a gross annual salary of up to €25 million is reportedly being considered, compared with around €14 million currently. A release clause of at least €200 million has also reportedly been discussed. Sporting director Max Eberl nevertheless clarified that talks with the player had not yet begun, despite the club’s desire to keep him.
