Bayern Munich: Michael Olise requests a release clause
Michael Olise could soon have a €200 million release clause at Bayern Munich. According to journalist Christian Falk, the Bavarian club would be willing to meet this request from the French forward, whose performances are attracting increasing attention.
Bayern want to extend Olise’s contract
Since arriving in Germany, Michael Olise has reached a new level. The 24-year-old winger quickly established himself at Bayern Munich and confirmed, in his first season, that he could become one of the important players at a major European club. His start to the new campaign has also been convincing. The France international already has eight goals and four assists.
Under contract with Bayern until June 2029, Olise is an important matter for the Munich club’s management. The club wants to secure his future and plans to deepen discussions after making progress on Harry Kane’s contract extension. Initial talks are reportedly already underway with the Frenchman’s representatives.
A release clause at the heart of the discussions
One of Olise’s main demands would concern the inclusion of a release clause in his future contract. This would allow him to leave Bayern if a club agreed to pay the fixed amount. According to Christian Falk, the figure under consideration would reach €200 million. A considerable sum, but one that could allow Bayern to protect its interests while offering the player a clearly defined opportunity to leave.
The Bavarian club has traditionally been reluctant to include this type of provision in its players’ contracts. Nevertheless, it would be ready to consider an exception in Olise’s case. The extension could also come with a significant salary increase. The terms of the release clause still need to be negotiated, however. A gradual reduction in its amount over the seasons is reportedly being considered.
