Exclusive interview: Adailton discusses his time in Tunisia

In an exclusive interview with Foot Africa, former Brazilian playmaker Adailton discussed his time with the Tunisian national team, while also talking about the chances of his former club Espérance de Tunis at the Club World Cup.

In response to a question about his failure with the Carthage Eagles, the former Santos player said:

Unfortunately, at that time I had personal and family issues that affected me greatly... I had several offers from European clubs and eventually ended up moving to Finland. From there, it was impossible for me to return to the Tunisian national team especially as, at that time, it had several quality players.

On another note, the native of Caatiba also spoke about the anticipated participation of Espérance de Tunis in the Club World Cup

I believe the current team has the necessary assets to leave a very good impression in the Club World Cup. Now, speaking of the match against Flamengo, I hope they will manage to deliver a great performance against my beloved club. It's important for the players to free themselves from the pressure and play at their true level...
