In an exclusive interview with Foot Africa, French coach Denis Lavagne predicted an impressive showing from both Canada and Cape Verde in the final stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

"In my opinion, two teams could surprise everyone at the World Cup: Canada and, why not, Cape Verde. These are two nations that few expect to go far at this level, but they could put together a remarkable run," he said.
