France national team: Kylian Mbappé aims to surpass Olivier Giroud

With the France national team, Kylian Mbappé is just steps away from overtaking Olivier Giroud as the all-time top scorer. The Real Madrid striker is brimming with confidence about breaking the record.

Speaking to the press this Thursday ahead of the clash between France and Azerbaijan, Kylian Mbappé was asked about Olivier Giroud’s goal record. The latter currently boasts 57 goals for Les Bleus. Mbappé showed no shortage of confidence in his ability to break this historic milestone.

"I think I'm going to break it, but when exactly? Maybe as soon as tomorrow, who knows. The most important thing is to qualify. It will happen and I'll be happy when it does, but I'll find another challenge after that," declared the Madrid star.

As a reminder, Mbappé currently has 52 goals for France.
