Germany: it’s a done deal for Jurgen Klopp
Jurgen Klopp is set to officially succeed Julian Nagelsmann as Germany's head coach.
The former Liverpool boss will arrive just days after Germany's elimination by Paraguay (1-1, 3-4 on penalties) in the Round of 32 at the 2026 World Cup.
According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg this Sunday, a basic agreement has already been reached between the German Football Association and Red Bull to release the German tactician from his commitment to the Austrian group. Last Saturday, Klopp met directly with RB boss Oliver Mintzlaff in New York to iron out the final details of the separation.
Klopp is now expected in Frankfurt to officially put pen to paper with Die Mannschaft through to the 2030 World Cup.
