Germany: Jürgen Klopp sends a warning to the media

Officially, Jürgen Klopp is back in action. This Friday, the former Liverpool manager signed on as the new head coach of Germany.

At his first press conference—which could be described as combative—the new boss of Die Mannschaft made a point to warn both the media and the public. Jürgen Klopp will not tolerate the treatment his predecessor Julian Nagelsmann received.

"I’m not taking this job for myself. I’m taking it for you. I’m accepting it even though I saw how you treated Julian Nagelsmann. I’m accepting it even though I saw how you treated Thomas Tuchel (with England, editor’s note). If you go after my family, I’m out. If you think I’m worth nothing, say it to my face and I’ll leave immediately, without asking for any compensation," declared the former Borussia Dortmund coach.
