Germany: Lennart Karl ruled out of the World Cup! (Official)

The young Bayern Munich talent, just 18 years old, did not hide his heartbreak after the announcement of his withdrawal.
“I don't even know where to start, but it hurts indescribably to have to miss the biggest tournament. I did everything to be fit for the World Cup. Unfortunately, injuries always seem to come at the worst possible time.”
To fill the gap, the German Football Association quickly called up Assan Ouédraogo. Despite the disappointment, Karl made sure to send a message to his teammates:
“I wish my team huge success and of course I'll be supporting them every step of the way! I’ll come back stronger, that’s a promise. Thank you for your messages of support. Good luck.”
