Le Mans FC has announced that the Senegalese international—a former Everton and Paris Saint-Germain player—has entered the sports investment sector by becoming part of the club's shareholder group.

The French club announced the news via a statement shared on its social media accounts. Notably, the player is currently active with Al-Diriyah in the Middle East and is involved in several projects, including coaching young players.

A massive sports investment for Le Mans

The club views the player as a significant sporting investment, given his stature in West Africa—particularly as a well-known figure with an impressive track record in Europe and on the global football stage.

He's the man behind ForHope Campus, a training facility he set up in Senegal, and his growing role in football marks a fresh chapter in how he gives back to the sporting world.

Now, by putting money into Le Mans FC, the 36-year-old Senegalese midfielder has linked up with a shareholder group packed with big names from international sport. The list includes former Brazil international Lucas Leiva, tennis great Novak Djokovic, Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, ex-Brazilian racing driver Felipe Massa and Danish driver Kevin Magnussen.
