Transfer market: Sambou Soumano finds a new club

Stade de Reims is gearing up to welcome a new attacking reinforcement. After becoming a free agent following his departure from Lorient, Sambou Soumano is set to arrive in Champagne. At 25 years old, the Dakar-born forward has successfully completed his medical, according to Foot Mercato.

He is expected to sign a four-year contract with Reims. The player himself has traveled to the region to finalize the last details. Barring any last-minute surprises, he will soon be wearing the colors of the Champagne club. A graduate of the Youth Elite Foot academy in Dakar, Soumano has a well-traveled career, featuring spells at Châteaubriant, Pau, and Lorient, as well as loan stints at Eupen, Rodez, and Quevilly-Rouen.

Last season in Ligue 1, he scored 4 goals and provided 2 assists in 31 matches.
