After the Al-Hilal Saudi player suffered an injury earlier this season, several weeks before the start of the 2026 World Cup, during a training session for Al-Hilal Saudi, it appears that the captain of the Lions of Teranga has returned to training with Al-Hilal again.

Press reports indicate that the experienced defender is currently training well with the team in preparation for the start of the 2026 World Cup in America.

Despite concerns over Kalidou Koulibaly’s fitness, there is now renewed hope for Senegal’s national team. The veteran defender, widely known as the Lion of Teranga, is currently undergoing individual training sessions.

While he has yet to rejoin the group, his progress is being seen as a highly encouraging development. Worry had been growing among Senegalese fans ever since Koulibaly picked up an injury, with many questioning whether he would be fit in time for the upcoming World Cup, set to take place across the United States, Canada, and Mexico this summer.

Now, however, head coach Pape Thiaw can breathe a sigh of relief, as his captain appears on track to lead the squad on their journey to the Americas.
