In its statement, Ghana’s football governing body emphasized that Ocansey is regarded as one of the country’s top coaches, thanks to his innovative approach with Nations FC, a Ghana Premier League club.

He will be supported in his mission by Samuel Boadu, coach of Berekum Chelsea, who will serve as assistant. Boadu previously led Hearts of Oak to achieve a league and cup double in 2021.

Godwin Attram, coach of Attram Di Visser, will also join the technical staff of the local team, alongside former international goalkeeper Stephen Ahorlu, who will be in charge of the goalkeepers.

Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has been relieved of his duties with the local side to focus on his new role as head coach of Hearts of Oak.
