Mauritania: Sall Moustapha has passed away
Sall Moustapha

One of Mauritania's greatest footballers has left us. This is Sall Moustapha.

Mauritanian football is in mourning this Tuesday. At the age of 58, Sall Moustapha has passed away, leaving behind the legacy of a pivotal figure in the nation’s football scene. He served as head coach of the Mourabitounes and was the loyal assistant to Corentin Martins in both Mauritania and Libya. Sall will be remembered as one of the greatest players in the country’s history.

A true role model for the youth, Sall Moustapha mentored entire generations, passionately sharing his love for the game. Beyond his sporting prowess, it was his humanity, humility, and noble character that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Since July 14, Sall Moustapha had been serving as the technical advisor to FC Nouadhibou, currently second in the Mauritanian championship.
