Mercato: Abdoulaye Kanté on the verge of leaving Troyes

The Ivorian international Abdoulaye Kanté is edging closer to a summer exit from Troyes.

A true revelation and a consistent performer for Troyes in recent months, Abdoulaye Kanté now looks set to join the English game. According to Foot Mercato, the former Montfermeil player is on the brink of signing with Middlesbrough, who finished 10th in the Championship last season.

The transfer is expected to bring in €3 million for the Aubois club. That figure will add to the €9.4 million already banked from Bryan Mbeumo's move to Manchester United (€7.4 million plus €2 million in training compensation), as reported by L’Est Éclair in recent days.
