Achraf Hakimi opened up to Onze Mondial about his ambitious goals.

Well before the start of the 2026 World Cup, the captain of Morocco's Atlas Lions spoke candidly about his squad's limitations. "Our only limit is ourselves. We are the ones who set our own boundaries. Thanks to our performances on the pitch and what we show at major tournaments, Morocco is growing and competing with the world's footballing giants. Today, I can't say where our limit lies, and that's exactly what makes it exciting. The new generation comes into the squad hungry to achieve big things, and because of them, we're pushing our limits even further. This is a team full of ambition. Every year, we want to achieve great things to stay at the highest level. Our objective is clear: to make football history." he declared.

The PSG star has his sights set on winning this 2026 World Cup: "The squad is confident, and we're preparing to have a great tournament, just like we did in 2022 in Qatar. Why not do even better than in Qatar and go as far as possible? That's our goal. We'll see how things play out, but I can tell you we're ready to achieve great things at this World Cup."

Tonight, Morocco takes on France in the quarter-finals of the 2026 World Cup.
