Official: Eric Bailly heads to the USA

Eric Bailly has found a new destination. A free agent, the Ivorian international joins Columbus Crew in MLS.

Eric Bailly has signed a contract through June 2027 with the Columbus Crew. The club holds options for 2027-2028 and 2028-2029. “Eric brings a competitive spirit and valuable experience that will benefit our squad. We look forward to integrating him for the second half of the season,” said Issa Tall, Crew’s general manager.

With over 200 professional appearances and 19,000 minutes on the pitch, the former Manchester United, Villarreal, and Marseille defender is no stranger to the Champions League.

An Africa Cup of Nations winner with Ivory Coast, he aims to bring his leadership and experience to the team.
