With all four nations currently sitting on one point each, a victory in Vancouver will give either side a massive foot in the door for Round of 32 qualification.

Bazeley emphasized that stopping Egypt requires a collective defensive effort rather than focusing solely on one superstar. The All Whites must also contain technical threats like Frankfurt's in-form forward Omar Marmoush meaning the Kiwis cannot afford to break their defensive shape for even a second.
