According to Fabrizio Romano, Paris Saint-Germain has submitted its first offer to Italian club Parma for the signing of Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, who recently had an outstanding World Cup campaign with his national team.

According to the report, negotiations are set to resume later this week, and the Japanese shot-stopper has indicated his willingness to make the switch.

As per Romano, Paris Saint-Germain have pulled ahead of the competition in the race for Suzuki, thanks to their formal bid. The Ligue 1 giants are now pushing to finalize terms with Parma, aiming to wrap up the transfer within the next few days.

Over the course of the 2025-26 campaign, the 23-year-old turned heads with his displays for both his club and country, catching the eye of multiple top-flight sides across Europe. PSG see him as a key piece for the long haul, with their plans reportedly built around his potential influence in the years to come.
