Real Madrid: crisis meeting between Álvaro Arbeloa and the players

Days after Real Madrid’s elimination in the Champions League quarter-final second leg against Bayern, Álvaro Arbeloa called a meeting with his players on Sunday.

According to reports from The Athletic, Álvaro Arbeloa urged his men to remain united as Real Madrid navigates a turbulent period. Dani Carvajal also took the floor immediately after to reinforce this message—a notable intervention, especially since the full-back, hampered by injuries, has played only 13 La Liga matches this season and is out of contract in June.

Several players have shown their support for Álvaro Arbeloa and his coaching staff as the club faces the prospect of a trophyless season. However, within the boardroom, the prevailing sentiment still points to the coach’s departure at the end of the campaign.
