Rulani Mokwena's MC Alger played to a goalless stalemate with Josef Zinnbauer's JS Kabylie in the Algerian Ligue 1 on Thursday night.

The two teams came into the match with an aim of bouncing back to winning ways, but the deadlock couldn't be broken as both defences stood tall.

MCA remain one point clear at the summit of the standings with 37 points from 17 league outings, albeit played four games less.

Mokwena's men are now winless in their last three matches across all competitions, having suffered back-to-back defeats prior to the recent draw.

The defending league champions return to action with another blockbuster clash against Sead Ramovic's CR Belouizdad in the Algerian Cup quarter-finals on Tuesday, 03 March.
