Watford: Nampalys Mendy set to sign with FC Metz

Already a free agent since his contract with Watford ended, Nampalys Mendy is on the verge of returning to France.

The Senegalese midfielder was spotted at FC Metz training this Friday, as confirmed by a photo circulating on social media. Nampalys Mendy is expected to sign with the Grenats in the coming days.

The former Nice, Leicester, and Lens player is coming off a season with 25 Championship appearances for Watford. Now a free agent, the Senegal international (35 caps) is expected to bring his valuable experience to newly promoted Metz ahead of the upcoming campaign.
