After already suffering several major withdrawals ahead of the start of this 2026 World Cup, Brazil continues to lose players to injury.

The latest casualty is Lucas Paqueta. There are even doubts as to whether we'll see the Flamengo midfielder again in this tournament. Paqueta has sustained a muscle injury to the back of his left thigh.

Already ruled out for the round of 16 clash with Norway, Lucas Paqueta is not expected to return before a potential final. According to information from Lance!, he will need at least two weeks to recover from his injury. A return to training with the ball is only penciled in between July 12 and 15.
