Last night, the French national team made light work of Sweden (3-0) in the round of 16 of this 2026 World Cup.

According to Stats Foot, Les Bleus hadn't won a knockout match by a three-goal margin in a World Cup since July 12, 1998. That was the date of the final, when Zinédine Zidane and his teammates triumphed over Brazil (3-0).
