90 minutes weren't enough in Vancouver. Switzerland and Colombia finished regulation time in a tense goalless draw and are heading into extra time in the final clash of the 2026 World Cup Round of 16.

The match was tight but full of energy. Switzerland held 53% of possession to Colombia's 47%, with both sides registering two shots on target. Kobel and Vargas each produced two crucial saves.

Switzerland ramped up the pressure late through Ndoye and Rieder, while Colombia appealed for a penalty in the 89th minute after a challenge on Campaz, but the referee waved play on. It’s been a physical contest, with 27 fouls and three yellow cards so far.

Despite missing Manzambi, Switzerland held firm. Colombia, led by James Rodríguez, couldn't find the breakthrough. Everything will be decided in the next 30 minutes of extra time. The winner will face Argentina in the quarterfinals.
