A crushing blow for Iraq. The "Lions of Teranga" will play against just ten men from the 13th minute of this third round Group A clashof the World Cup.

Rebin Sulaka was sent off after denying a clear goal-scoring opportunity. The defender illegally stopped star Sadio Mané as he was bearing down on Basel’s goal.

English referee Anthony Taylor initially allowed play to continue, but then went to review the incident via VAR. After checking the footage, he made his decision: a straight red card for Iraq’s last defender.

Senegal already lead 1-0 thanks to Abdoulaye Seck and will enjoy a numerical advantage for more than 75 minutes.
