Moroccan defender Issa Diop holds an unfortunate record at the World Cup.
A former youth international for France, he recently switched his sporting nationality to Morocco, in accordance with FIFA regulations.
The Fulham center-back is the only player to have been booked three times at this World Cup, picking up yellow cards against Norway in the second group stage match, then the Netherlands in the round of 16, and finally France in the quarter-finals.

For the record, Issa Diop featured in five matches during the tournament, scoring just one goal, which came against the Netherlands.
Since becoming a Moroccan international, he has played nine matches across all competitions, finding the net only once.
