Just two days before the 2026 World Cup final against Argentina, Marc Cucurella stunned everyone with an unexpected statement. The 27-year-old defender declared that he would end his international career if Spain lifted the trophy.

"If we win the World Cup, I'll call Luis de la Fuente the very next day to tell him I'm retiring from the national team," he said with a hint of humor.
