Ivory Coast are temporarily through to the Round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup. The Elephants lead Curaçao 1-0 at the break at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

The Elephants started the match with real intensity and pace. In the seventh minute, Yan Diomandé dazzled to find the Villarreal striker, who made no mistake and slotted home the opener. Ivory Coast also dominated possession. Still, Curaçao showed real character despite conceding the early goal.

Thanks to this early goal from Nicolas Pépé, Ivory Coast are provisionally through to the Round of 16 at the World Cup with 6 points.
