The fear was greater than the danger for Wilfried Singo. The World Cup is not at risk for the Galatasaray right-back.
According to a statement issued by the Ivorian Football Federation, Wilfried Singo underwent reassuring medical tests on Monday, June 22, after being substituted in the 82nd minute against Germany (0-1).
The 25-year-old Galatasaray right-back will rest and undergo treatment for a few days to aid his recovery. The Ivorian Football Federation has not yet set a return date.
Côte d'Ivoire are hoping to have him back for the crucial third-round clash against Curaçao on June 25.
