After several weeks of anticipation, Neymar could finally make his long-awaited return with the Seleção. On the eve of the match against Scotland, Carlo Ancelotti reassured everyone about his star’s fitness—and even managed to crack a joke about the former PSG player’s abilities.

Neymar’s big comeback is taking shape. Absent since the start of the 2026 World Cup due to a calf injury, the Brazilian superstar could finally be back on the pitch for the clash against Scotland, scheduled for tonight at 11 pm.

Speaking at a press conference, Carlo Ancelotti expressed his optimism about the health of his number 10.

"Neymar is available, he’s worked well this week, he’s prepared himself for the match, and he’s ready to play with his teammates. We’re very happy to have him back," assured the Seleção’s head coach.

The Italian manager then slipped in a playful quip about his player’s qualities:

"Obviously, thanks to his skills, he can help the team. He’s capable of playing 90 minutes just walking! Neymar is in great shape, working very hard (…) I’m very pleased with him."

However, the Brazilian star is expected to ease back into action by coming off the bench before earning a starting spot.
