Is England less favored for the 2026 World Cup than France?

In the round of 16, the French team made light work of Sweden (3-0) last Tuesday while England struggled to get past the Democratic Republic of Congo (2-1). Since then, the debate has started to irritate England manager Thomas Tuchel.

"People say we're less impressive than France or Argentina? I don't care what people say. We'll see when the time comes. Those two teams are the favorites and we're the underdogs, and that's just fine with us," the German coach told the BBC.
