World Cup 2026: Tshisekedi predicts the Leopards will beat Portugal
The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo is brimming with confidence ahead of the much-anticipated showdown between Portugal and DR Congo on Wednesday, June 17 at NRG Stadium. Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo went even further, boldly predicting the result to the Portuguese stars at Paris Saint-Germain.
"The president of DR Congo told us: You will lose to DR Congo, but you’ll win the World Cup! He’s a friend of Nasser Al-Khelaifi. He was with us in the locker room after our Champions League victory," revealed Gonçalo Ramos, the Portuguese striker for Paris Saint-Germain.
A passionate football fan, the Congolese president will be leading a delegation to attend DR Congo’s World Cup debut on June 17, at 17:00 GMT at NRG Stadium in Houston.
