Tunisian goalkeeper Abdelmouhib Chamakh finds himself in the unenviable 992nd spot in the ranking of top players at the World Cup.

The last bastion of the “Carthage Eagles” was rated just 3.7/10 by the specialist site sofascore, following his disastrous outing on matchday one of Group J against Sweden.

Involved in two of the five goals scored by the Scandinavian side, the Club Africain shot-stopper hasn’t featured in the tournament since that match—he was replaced by Aymen Dahmane, the Club Sportif Sfaxien keeper, for the games against Japan and the Netherlands.

Barring a miracle, Abdelmouhib Chamakh is set to finish the World Cup with the lowest rating of any player participating in the 2026 tournament.

At just 24 years old, Chamakh began his career with CO Medenine before moving to ES Metlaoui in 2022. He signed with Club Africain in 2025 as a free agent.
