An ambition now fully embraced

In his statement, Patrice Motsepe expressed his pride:

"CAF and the entire African football community are proud of the ten countries that will represent the African continent at the 2026 World Cup."

This momentum has been made possible not only by the expanded tournament format but also by the growing strength of African national teams.

The CAF president went even further with his ambitions:

"We are convinced that the African teams participating in the 2026 World Cup will make us proud, and that an African nation can win this tournament."

This is a powerful message, further underscored by DR Congo’s qualification, securing the final ticket against Jamaica.
