Morocco will host the 14th edition of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2026) from March 17 to April 3. This tournament will feature sixteen nations, including Mali, who are aiming to claim their first-ever title.

Mali will be making their ninth appearance in the final stage of the Women's AFCON, following previous participations in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2016, 2018, and 2024.

In 2018, they finished fourth behind Cameroon, South Africa and Nigeria.
