Tickets sell out for Zinedine Zidane's first home match as France manager

The French Football Federation announced on Saturday that all tickets for Zinedine Zidane's first home game as head coach of the France national team have officially sold out.

A highly anticipated homecoming

The French football legend officially took charge of the national team on Tuesday signing a four year contract to succeed his former teammate Didier Deschamps. The French public has responded with overwhelming enthusiasm to the appointment, quickly snapping up the 80,000 available seats at the Stade de France for the upcoming encounter against an Italy side managed by Roberto Mancini on 2 October.

The Nations league schedule

Before experiencing the massive home support in Paris, Zidane will begin his managerial tenure with two crucial away fixtures in the UEFA Nations League.

His official debut on the touchline will take place against Turkey in the city of Izmit on 25 September. Just three days later, the French squad will travel to Brussels to face Belgium.

Following these two challenging away trips, the team will return to home soil for the sold out third fixture against the Italians.

Zidane will use the coming weeks to evaluate his player pool and finalize his squad selection ahead of the September international break.
