France team: another piece of bad news for Zinédine Zidane
Once again, Zinédine Zidane has not been spared. The France manager will have to deal with another withdrawal in November.
Zinédine Zidane will unveil his second squad list next Friday for two Nations League matches. They will be against Italy (in Milan, on November 12) and Turkey (in Bordeaux, on November 15). The French coach will have to cope without several regulars.
Maxence Lacroix will be absent. The young Frenchman has already withdrawn after suffering a hamstring tear.
Maxence Lacroix, no return in 2026
Chelsea defender Maxence Lacroix is not guaranteed to play again before the end of 2026. He will be out for several weeks, according to information from RMC. He will not be the only player unavailable for the next France squad gathering.
Having suffered a thigh injury, Ousmane Dembélé is not expected to return to the pitch until after the international break. Adrien Rabiot (calf), Manu Koné (thigh), Jules Koundé (ankle) and Estéban Lepaul (ankle) are all doubts. William Saliba has already withdrawn and has still not played this season.
