A historic semi-final within reach
Finishing second in Group A, Algeria defeated both Senegal and Kenya by identical 2-0 scorelines, with those wins sandwiched around a narrow loss to Morocco (0-1). The Greens built their qualification on a rock-solid defense, conceding just once in three matches.
Ivory Coast, meanwhile, topped Group B with seven points. The Elephants overpowered Burkina Faso (4-1) and Tanzania (2-1) after opening with a thrilling draw against South Africa (2-2).

Algeria will, however, have to do without Inès Boutaleb, who is out with a severe ankle sprain. A win would send the Greens to their first-ever semi-final and book them a historic ticket to the 2027 Women's World Cup.
