2026 World Cup: Argentina vs Austria, probable lineups
After their commanding display against Algeria (3-0), Argentina will look to build on that performance this Monday against Austria at the AT&T Stadium.
Lionel Messi and his teammates are expected to field a starting eleven nearly identical to the one from their opening match, with only Montiel possibly making way for Molina at right-back. On the other side, Norwegian coach Ralf Rangnick is likely to make a few changes compared to the team that beat Jordan (3-1). Arnautovic and Chukwuemeka are set to join the starting lineup.
The probable lineups for both teams:
Argentina: E. Martinez - Molina, Romero, Li. Martinez, Medina - De Paul, Mac Allister, Fernandez - Messi, La. Martinez, Almada.
Austria: A. Schlager - Laimer, Lienhart, Alaba, Mwene - Seiwald, X. Schlager - Schmid, Chukwuemeka, Sabitzer - Arnautovic.
