Nothing is changing at the French Football Federation when it comes to the publicly stated goals for the 2026 World Cup.

Questioned by the daily L'Equipe this Thursday, just 12 days before France's tournament debut, Philippe Diallo was clear about not raising expectations. The president of the French Football Federation made his position crystal clear.

"The objectives remain the same for the French team. From a budget standpoint, it's the quarter-finals. In sporting terms, it's the semi-finals. And in our minds, it's a new star," declared the French official.
